This is a 1999 Panama Government-Private
Study. It is an exceptionally balanced Strategy for a land lacking
in strategic natural resources.
You know what happens to Government
Studies. Those with Initiative must impliment these Solutions. I am
one of those people. Are you?

1999 - Year of Hopeful
Expectations (The Day The Canal was returned to Panama
control)
These three Charts are results from an admirable, unequalled
Event. Soon before beloved Mireya Moscoso was elected President,
a Great Convention was held to plot out Panama's Intelligent Future.
Attending were their top National Scientists, Scholars, Businessmen,
Unions, Politicians... a Gathering of Everyone Who
Cares.
Gotta admit it. The more you look at that first Chart
(above), you must respect their effort to find BALANCE. Look
again. An excellent job toward that Goal.

Then Presidente Mireya let
Panama down. Badly. (even though she did do Right by Pedasi,
building roads, sewer, and electricity from Pedasi to Tonosi, our
small-town Gateway to Paradise).
...a native of the rural town
Pedasi in the province of Los Santos, has captivated the hearts of many
Panamanians with her charisma, stamina and accessibility. Throughout her
campaign and from the moment she took charge, Moscosos sight has been set
to narrow the gap between poor and rich; attend to the needs of the less
fortunate - particularly, single mothers that abound; optimize the education
system; and improve the quality of services provided in the countrys
healthcare facilities. She proposes to reduce the extreme poverty of her
country by 3 percent per year and in the first three years, reduce the level of
illiteracy from the current 16 percent to 5 percent...
Among the many
challenges awaiting Moscoso are being a woman in a machista country and that
her capacity to govern Panama has been questioned by many men, given that her
professional background lacks formal political or economic preparation. In
addition to the political tutelage she received from Arias (husband was former
President) in their 25 years of marriage, she holds a degree in business from
the Commercial School of Immaculate Mary; one in interior design from Miami
Date (is this supposed to by Dade?) Community College and a computer degree
from the University of Florida. (written in
1999) |
